Man Utd player Juan Mata is now asking fans to send him their own videos detailing what they love about the sport.
Juan Mata has revealed the five reasons why he loves football – and why 'fighting' alongside his United teammates makes him happy.
In the video, released on the Spaniard's YouTube channel, he also confesses that he has made many friends through football, and says that has made him a better person.
He said: “Since I was a kid I used to play football, and I used it as a tool to be happy every weekend, and to become a better person and a better player."
He added: “As a part of 11 players, you have to fight for your teammate and give your best to help the team.”
Among the other things that the midfielder admits to loving about the sport is to score and to travel all over the world.
And, as the video comes to an end, Mata reveals that one person he loves to make happy is his grandad, who used to take him to training when he was a kid.
He says: “I know every time that I score, or my team wins, he is the happiest in the world.”
Mata has also launched an appeal for fans to send in their favourite things about football, which he says he will then make into a compilation video.
